Personal Bio: I used to be pretty introverted before starting to work at Telescope Pictures and mostly kept to myself. After a few summers working on the beach, I learned sales and people skills I couldn't have learned anywhere else! Although I don't work in sales anymore, the people skills I learned from Scopes have translated well into my professional career. I wouldn't be where I am today if it weren't for my summers running around the beach and taking photos for Scopes!

 

Company Bio: Currently, I live in NYC and work at a proprietary equity trading firm. In a nutshell, I decide which stocks I want to buy or short every day and I make money if they go in the direction I think they will. In addition to that, I also started my own company in college, socialnetworkelite.com. We provide our clients with automated Instagram marketing solutions. We started as a 2 man team in college (myself and my business partner). Now we have 10 employees and over 500 clients. 

 

Testimonial: One of the hardest parts about scopes was working every day, Sunday - Sunday. However, learning the discipline necessary to work these long hours has been super helpful for me to manage my full-time job as a trader along with the responsibilities that come with owning my own small company. Advice to a future recruit: May starts off slow so make sure you use it to polish your ice breakers and opening lines. Use this time to nail your poses and learn how to deal with small uncooperative kids. June - Sept are the money making months and you want to make sure you are ready for that. Working every day is going to get tiring but It'll be worth it in the long run because you will make way more money than an average Monday - Friday job.
